Babiker O. Eltayeb M.D.

Babiker Eltayeb, M.D. became a member of Akron Nephrology Associates, Inc. in 1998. Originally from Sudan, he obtained his M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) from the University of Khartoum. Further trained in the United Kingdom, he possesses the title of FRCP (Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians). In the United States, Dr. Eltayeb completed his Nephrology training and certification at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and his Internal Medicine residency and training at the Graduate School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He was also a Transplant Nephrologist with the SUMMA kidney transplant program in Akron, OH. Dr. Eltayeb has been an Assistant Professor of Clinical Internal Medicine at Northeastern Ohio Universities Colleges of Medicine and Pharmacy (NEOUCOM) since 1999 and serves on the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee at Medina General Hospital in Medina, OH. In addition to those listed, he is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and member of the American Society of Nephrology, International Society of Nephrology, American Society of Transplantation, and National Kidney Foundation.
